Motion by Doug Farrell, second by Jim Bass to accept the minutes as posted, PASSED

 

Doug Farrell distributed the treasurer’s report and made a presentation.

Dick Heath was on the agenda to make a presentation on Marketing but was not present

 

There was a discussion on proxy voting. No motion was made and the item died.

 

RUN COMBINED EVENTS WITH ANOTHER CLUB

Motion was made by Tim Roach and seconded by Neal Gillentine

Motion to have FIRA  race with the RASCAL OUTLAWS on asphalt and when tracks approve.

PASSED 6 Yes - 0 No

 

VOTING

Motion was made by Jim Bass and seconded by Doug Farrell

Motion to have 1 vote per car

Failed 3 yes - 1 no (not 2/3)

Motion was made by Tim Roach and seconded by Jim Bass

Motion to have 1 vote per car but must race 25% of races to be in good standing.

MEMBERSHIPS

Motion was made by John Zeilinga and seconded by Rich Kossak

Memberships can be purchased at any time but those purchased after the season is over would take affect next season and would be allowed to vote at that time.

Motion was made by Wally Reitz and seconded by Doug Farrell

Motion was made to eliminate double points nights.

PASSED 3 yes - 2 no

 

MIRRORS MANDATORY

Motion was made by Tim Roach and seconded by Doug Farrell

Motion to make at least one mirror mandatory in all cars

FAILED 4 yes - 4 no

 

Reprogramming of the snowmobile ECU.

Motion made by Tim Roach on behalf of Vern Brown

Reprogramming of the snowmobile ECU would not be allowed.

13 inch Tires

Motion was made by Doug Farrell and seconded by Tim Roach

Motion to remove 13 inch tires from the rule book.

FAILED 3 yes - 4 no

 

WHEEL RIMS

 Motion by Jim Bass and seconded by Lyle Phillips

ALLOW ADDITIONAL HOLE IN WHEEL RIMS
TO ALLOW A SECOND VALVE STEM.

Jim Bass made a presentation with a 5/5 offset rim that he wants to be able to add
a second valve stem so the rim and tire can be flipped instead of dismounting the tire.

PASSED  unanimous

 

MOTORCYCLE GASKETS

Remove wording “reasonable”

Approved Alternative Axles – As Described At 2007 Rules Meeting

Current Rule: REAR AXLE - One 1-1/4" minimum diameter solid axle allowed. Or, 1" diameter axle will be allowed if supported by 4 bearings, one within 1" of the right and left rear hubs. No hollow or tubular axles allowed. No aluminum axles allowed

Delete: No hollow or tubular axles allowed. No aluminum axles allowed.

Add; A 1 ¾" or 2" Splined tubular Aluminum Rear Axle  That is Manufactured by Hyper Racing is the only aluminum or tubular axle allowed. Use of the Compatible wheel hubs by Hyper Racing must be used with these axles.
